Web-Based Software utilizes the Internet to network all of your computers together. All of the processing is done on a centralized computer which is connected to the Internet. This web-server works in conjunction with the various browser programs, such as Internet Explorer or Netscape, that are operated on your personal computer. The browser program takes the information sent from the web-server computer and produces the images you see on your monitor. All of the programs and databases, however, are stored on the central web-server.
This is the Poor Man's 'Wide Area Network' which, prior to the Internet, would have cost thousands of dollars per month instead of less than $50. It is an ideal solution for any business that has more than one location.
